About Organ Donation

In Hawai'i more than 340 people are in end-stage organ failure waiting for a life-saving organ. Nationally there are more than 105,000 people in the same condition. Millions more are in need of life-restorative tissue for healing and corneas to end blindness.

The altruistic gift of organ and tissue donation gives others a second chance at life. Registering to be an organ and tissue donor is an important step toward helping to build a healthy and caring community that embraces the true meaning of leaving a legacy of life behind for those in need.
