Legacy of Life Hawai`i works closely with our island hospitals to cultivate an understanding in our diverse communities that life is worth giving.
Our Mission
The mission of Legacy of Life Hawai’i is to save and enhance lives through recovering organs and tissue for transplant, encourage organ donation through community outreach and education, and honor and support organ donors and their families.
Our Services
Our trained staff is available 24 hours a day to counsel families and medical staff about organ and tissue donation, determine medical suitability for donation, and to coordinate the recovery of donated organs and tissue. Legacy of Life Hawai’i collaborates with the Hawaii Lions Eye Bank and Makana Foundation to promote eye donation.
