United with Hope

Building a strong bridge between organ donor families and recipients is the aim of Legacy of Life Hawai’i’s program United with Hope.  While uniting donor families with transplant recipients is rare, oftentimes both parties express a mutual interest in meeting. United with Hope was established to help manage the needs, expectations and well being of both parties and help facilitate their first meeting.  United With Hope provides counseling services to prepare families and recipients as they consider meeting for the first time.  Follow-up care is also provided for both parties after the meeting.

Please use the resources below to help you write a note of thanks to the family of your donor or to extend your well-wishes to the person who received your loved one’s Gift of Life, or to make contact with your donor family.
